The first shipment of the Russian vaccine Sputnik-V comprising 50000 doses arrived in Pakistan on March 17, 2021.

The Russian vaccine has successfully passed registration with the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), its marketing and sales in Pakistan will be carried out by the large pharmaceutical company AGP Limited in close cooperation with the Trade Representation.

This is the first consignment under the commercial contract, and new shipments are expected in the near future.

The Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Pakistan Mr. Mikhail V. Korablin noted, this event was not only an important step in Pakistan's fight against pandemia, but also a new milestone in the development of the Russia-Pakistan trade and economic cooperation.
