On May 26, 2021, the Trade Representation of Russia in Pakistan took part in a video conference of major media and government institutions from Russia, Pakistan, China, Azerbaijan and other countries on the topic: "Expanding media cooperation between the countries participating in the initiative - One Belt, One Road."

The Belt and Road Initiative is aimed at developing comprehensive cooperation between Asian countries, including such areas as trade and economic cooperation, development of transport and energy infrastructure, healthcare, culture, etc.

The webinar focused on such issues as the recovery of Asian countries after the pandemic, the development and strengthening of media connections of the Belt and Road Initiative participants, the influence of Western media on the project and countering disinformation.

The videoconference was held under the auspices of the Pakistan Institute for Peace and Diplomatic Studies.
